In the 1970s and early 80s, VHP built performance engines and packages, from Sportsmen Class to Pro Stock Class, producing some of the strongest horsepower per cubic inch engines. VHP also built and tuned Corvettes, F-Bodies, Impala SS, SUV's and other street machines, from simple performance upgrades and tuning to superchargers and nitrous oxide.

     Being no stranger to the power of fuel injection, it came as no surprise when electronic fuel injection became the standard of modern vehicles. During this time, we used our fuel injection  and tuning experience to produce some of the most horsepower per cubic inch power packages available for the Corvette and F-Body.

     In 1995, VHP was the first on the East coast to install an in-ground Dynojet Chassis Dynamometer. This allowed us to showcase the horsepower and torque we can produce, as well  as squeeze out some more by being even more accurate on dialing in the fuel and timing curves. Since then, all of VHP's power packages and power products are developed on the chassis dynamometer  and each package installed at our facility begins with a baseline and ends with a dial in on the dyno. We also test each vehicle under real driving conditions, i.e. hood closed and vehicle at operating temperature.
    
    VHP also tests products for several manufacturers and performance entities, such as Crane Cams, Bassani Xhaust, Corsa, Holley, Ecklers, JBA, Borla, GHL, CNC Cylinder Heads, Random Technology, and have been actively  involved in the research and development of many of these manufacturers products. In 1995 Roger's son Joe joined him bringing a fresh new dimension to the business.

    In 2007 Crane Cams turned over the New Product Development Program to VHP. Roger Vinci, as New Product Development Manager & Program Manager,  Joe Vinci, as Race Event Manager and Greg Warner as Dyno and Spintron Facility manager, focused all their efforts to help develop Cranes' aggressive new product program. Under the guidance of Roger and the team, Crane was able to bring 72 new products to fruition, over a two year period.

Together Roger, Joe and the crew continue the pursuit of power.  With our fuel injection and computer controlled car experience, we were able to pioneer performance power packages for the L-98, LT1, LT4, LT5, LS1,LS6, LS2 and the new LS3 / L92 powered vehicles. Staying consistent with VHP's philosophy of producing the most horsepower per cubic inch, we have developed our power packages to utilize stock displacement and our expertise in dialing in the finished product.
